Amanda Applegate, Partner at Aerlex Law Group, was invited to present as part of an Embry-Riddle Professional Education Course taking place on April 19, 2018 at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach Campus.

The event on April 19 is the last installment of a four-course program on aircraft specific appraisals that began with an initial class held last October. The program is designed to introduce participants to aircraft appraisal terminology, methods and concepts and then explore advanced topics in the subsequent classes. The four courses also provide a foundation on the principles of valuation and their applications to the appraisal of aircraft and aviation equipment. The program is intended to expand participants’ skill sets and enhance their career and professional standing in the fields of aircraft appraisal, banking and finance.

Ms. Applegate has been aviation lawyer for twenty years and is highly regarded in the industry. She joined Aerlex in 2011 after a dozen years at NetJets and became Partner in 2016. She is a frequent speaker on aircraft acquisition and ownership topics for organizations including the National Business Aviation Association and the National Aircraft Resale Association. Ms. Applegate writes a popular monthly column for Business Air magazine on the myriad topics associated with aircraft acquisition and ownership.
