  • NBAA Business Aviation Regional Forum

  • NBAA 2011 — 64th Annual Meeting & Convention
    October 10-12, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada

    NBAA 2011 is the premier annual meeting place for the business aviation community. This year’s event will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center and will convene over 1000 Exhibitors displaying the latest products and information from every segment of the industry. The Convention will also offer attendees a selection of over 100 Education Sessions, and a Static Display of Aircraft will be staged at Henderson Executive Airport. More than 25,000 business aviation professionals will attend this key gathering to see and learn about the latest innovations and advances in business aviation.

    Please note that immediately following the Convention, the NBAA Tax, Regulatory & Risk Management Conference will be held at the same venue – October 13 and 14, 2011.

  • NBAA Business Aviation Tax Seminar
    June 3, 2011 at the JW Marriott Union Square, San Francisco
    Stephen Hofer, President of Aerlex Law Group, and Vicky Boladian, Aerlex tax attorney, will speak on California state aviation taxes as part of the National Business Aviation Association's (NBAA) Business Aviation Tax Seminar.   • Critical Deadline for California Aircraft Owners
    April 1, 2011
    California aircraft owners should have already received an Aircraft Property Statement Form 577 from the assessor in the country where the aircraft is normally situated. Owners who have not received the statement should contact the county assessor or the Aerlex Law Group for assistance. This form should be completed and postmarked by Friday, April 1.

    March 2-6 at the La Costa Spa and Resort in San Diego County.

  • WAFD Annual Meeting
    March 7, 2008 in Tucson, Arizona
    Stephen Hofer, President of the Aerlex Law Group, will speak Friday, March 7, 2008 to the annual meeting of the Western Association of Fastener Distributors in Tucson, Arizona. Hofer, who has served as outside general counsel to the organization for many years, will be speaking to the WAFD members on recent developments in antitrust law. WAFD’s 26th annual spring conference is being held at the Hilton El Conquistador in Tucson. The group represents fastener manufacturers and distributors throughout the Western United States and Canada.
     
       
  • VICA Aviation Committee
    February 14, 2008 in Van Nuys, California
    Stephen R. Hofer, Esq. will address the Aviation Committee of the Valley Industrial Commerce Association (VICA) at their luncheon meeting on February 14, 2008. The meeting will be hosted by Jim Dunn at his Airtel Plaza Hotel in Van Nuys.  Hofer will speak on developments in California aircraft taxation and, in particular, the new fractional property tax law. “With California’s state budget once again in fiscal shambles, the State Legislature is looking for new ways to extract additional tax revenue from aircraft owners and operators,” says Hofer. The Legislature’s recent adoption of Senate Bill 87 imposes the nation’s first-ever property tax on fractionally owned aircraft and may be just the first of several taxation schemes aimed at California’s business aviation community.
