NAFA Conference–Tucson, Arizona–April 16-18

Aerlex Law Group President Stephen Hofer will attend the National Aircraft Finance Association’s (NAFA) annual conference, April 16th through April 18th, at the JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa in Tucson, Arizona. This year’s conference is NAFA’s 52nd annual gathering.

Stephen Hofer has represented both borrowers and lenders in whole and fractional aircraft transactions for over 30 years and he has successfully closed hundreds of sales and purchases on every continent except Antarctica, resulting in a deep and broad understanding of the wide range of issues that can affect the acquisition, sale and operation of private aircraft. In addition to aircraft transactions, Steve also has decades of experience with FAA and DOT regulatory matters, litigation in state and federal courts, charter operators and flight departments, aircraft maintenance issues and insurance requirements – all of which can directly impact the relationships among aircraft owners and operators, borrowers and lenders.

The annual NAFA conference offers members a chance to learn more about current industry trends relating to aircraft transactions, financing and leasing, as well as the broader national and international economic picture and its impact on the business aircraft financing industry.  The event will also focus on the industry’s economic status, FAA regulatory updates, pre-owned market dynamics, aircraft values, and strategies to ensure transaction integrity.   The event also includes a NAFA/ASA aircraft appraisal continuing education program as well as their annual golf tournament and an alternate activity–a Jeep tour!

NAFA is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the success of lending institutions and other organizations involved in the aircraft financing and lending industry. NAFA also works with government agencies to help develop greater understanding of the industry and its needs.
