Super Lawyers is a nationwide survey of outstanding attorneys in more than 70 practice areas conducted by the multinational mass media firm, Thomson Reuters, which focuses lawyers on who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selections for the respected Super Lawyers list of attorneys are based on independent research and scrutiny of the candidates by the magazine’s research staff, peer nominations by other attorneys, and a good standing and disciplinary check. This year, fewer than 3,700 of the 104,000 attorneys who practice law in the eight-county region that surrounds Los Angeles were named as Southern California “Super Lawyers” – and of this elite group, fewer than 200 have received the recognition over a consecutive 10-year period.
